The Northern Rockies Reining Horse Association (NRRHA)
is proud to have hosted the first ever National Reining Horse Association approved reining competition in the Bitterroot Valley in 2007. The event was held at the Sapphire event center in Corvallis, Montana. We held 2 shows at the "Sapphire" in 2008.

Competitive Reining in Montanta is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year. Reining requires a precise combination of horsemanship, speed, and graceful maneuvers and is judged under a strict scoring system. This is an exciting event for exhibitors and spectators. Starting out in 1988 with a handful of dedicated enthusiasts The Montana Reining Horse Association (MRHA) was formed. Reining has grown into 4 fully functional associations across the state. The Northern Rockies Reining Horse Association (NRRHA) was formed in 2007 to bring reining at the grass roots level to Western Montana.

Northern Rockies Reining Horse Association (NRRHA) is a National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Affiliate located in the beautiful Northern Rockies, catering to reiners of Montana, Idaho, Washington & Canada.

NRRHA will be offering an NRHA Affiliate Circuit & Year-End Awards.
Five shows will count toward year end awards for 2009.
These Reining Horse shows will be held in Western Montana and Eastern Washington
